Our Advisory Board

White Oak has established an Advisory Board comprised of professionals with significant real estate and financial experience. The Advisory Board meets regularly to provide guidance, counsel and market wisdom to White Oak.


Mr. Kessler is Owner of the John W. Kessler Company and Co-Founder and Chairman of The New Albany Company.

He serves on The John Glenn College of Public Affairs; New Albany Surgical Hospital Foundation; a board member of The Columbus Partnership and the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation.

Mr. Kessler is past Chairman of The Ohio State University Board of Trustees; past Chairman of Ohio Public Works Commission; past Chairman of United Way of Central Ohio; past Chairman of Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce; past Chairman of Columbus Museum of Art; past Chairman of The Ohio Arts & Sports Facilities Commission and past President of the Columbus School for Girls. He also served on the Board of Directors of JPMorgan Chase & Co., The Limited, Inc., Commercial Vehicle Group, Abercrombie & Fitch, Columbus Regional Airport Authority, and Cleveland Federal Reserve.


Mr. Böhm is a seasoned developer, architect and builder, both internationally and throughout the U.S. He previously served as Chairman of NBBJ, a leading international architecture and design firm and is co-founder of the Daimler Group, a central Ohio based real estate Development Company. Mr. Böhm serves on Daimler’s board and remains a partner in the company.

He has also developed several real estate projects overseas and today is a partner in Storm Properties, a real estate development company based in Moscow, Russia. Mr. Böhm has served on the Board of Directors of the Huntington National Bank and currently serves on the Boards of M/I Schottenstein Homes, TRC Companies, and the Daimler Group. He also serves and has served many community organizations.


Mr. Chatas leads all financial activities for The Ohio State University as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Business and Finance. He is a financial executive with significant experience in higher education, power, aviation and banking and was named CFO of the Year in 2012 by Columbus Business First.

Mr. Chatas is an ex-officio member of the Wexner Medical Center board and has been part of the leadership council focused on efficiencies there.

Mr. Chatas came to Ohio State from JP Morgan Asset Management, where he was Managing Director for the Infrastructure Investments Group. Prior to JP Morgan, he spent most of his career focused on the energy and aviation sectors. He serves on several boards, including the JET Task Force, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra and Rev1 Ventures.


Mr. Deignan is Senior Counsel with Baker & McKenzie, LLP and has held various management positions in the Firm for over 35 years, including Executive Committee Member for four years.

Mr. Deignan has significant experience in the areas of Real Estate & Construction, where he advises domestic and foreign property developers and investors. Mr. Deignan represents numerous contractors and architects in the US, as well as foreign investors in US properties.

He has advised developers of office and industrial buildings, shopping centers, agricultural properties, golf courses and hotels. Mr. Deignan’s extensive experience also covers representing corporate investors in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and lenders in connection with loans secured by real estate.


Mr. Zazworsky is Founder and President of Mid State Systems, Inc., Mid State Warehouses, Inc., and Dalmatian Transportation LLC.

Mr. Zazworsky is a Board member and Lead Director of Park National Corporation (NYSE: PRK), where he serves on the Executive and Risk Committees.

He serves on the Boards of the John and Mary Alford Foundation, The Salvation Army of Newark, Ohio and is a former Board member of Paramount Financial Group. Mr. Zazworsky graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.


Mr. Brunett has extensive management experience operating companies in a variety of industries. He is the former President & CEO of Paradigm Intermediate Holdings, and is currently serving on the Board of Advisors Paradigm CW Holdings, LLC.

Mr. Brunett held various executive management positions with SBR, Inc., a privately-owned holding company, in many of the SBR’s subsidiaries. These positions included President of the northern 7-Eleven operations, Division Manager for Woodcraft Supply Corporation, President of SimEx Inc., and President of Simonton Building Products. During his time at Simonton, the company experienced double digit growth for over a decade. Mr. Brunett also held the position of Senior Vice President of SBR, Inc., where he was responsible for manufacturing operations, product development and innovation for five SBR companies.

Mr. Brunett is a former President and Chairman of the Board of AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association).
