Jim is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of White Oak Partners. Among his primary responsibilities are oversight of asset management, finance, compliance and structuring, risk management, as well as investor and financial reporting.Â He manages lender relationships and, as a member of the senior leadership team, provides strategic financial oversight on projects and the portfolio as a whole.
Prior to joining White Oak Partners, Jim served for 12 years as Executive Vice President and Treasurer of Pizzuti Companies, a commercial real estate firm with operations in Columbus, Chicago, Indianapolis and Orlando. Pizzutiâ€™s core business was growing a commercial real estate portfolio through the development and leasing of Class-A office and big-box distribution and warehouse properties in master-planned commercial parks where the firmâ€™s activities included land acquisition and development of all infrastructure. Pizzuti developed both speculative and build-to-suit properties within its commercial parks and also developed properties nationwide for its larger clients. The Company structured a number of ventures with institutional investors.
As a member of Pizzutiâ€™s Executive Committee and its Capital Committee, Jim had an integral role in the strategic planning for the business, in the structuring and oversight of its institutional ventures, the review and approval of new investments, procurement of capital, financial and investor reporting, and lender relations. The Company centralized all of its accounting and financial reporting requirements, which reported to Jim.
Prior to Pizzuti, Jim spent five years at Deloitte & Touche, where he focused on audit clients in construction and real estate. He also served as a corporate auditor for Borden, Inc., concentrating on M&A and operational audits of Borden affiliates throughout the US.
Jim earned his B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Otterbein University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Ohio.
